PET GROOMING IN SEVENOAKS
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
For the safety of our staff and your pet, it is required for you to inform us of any difficult or aggressive behaviour your pet may have. We must ensure that your pet and our staff are protected against injury. Failure to inform us about your dogs behaviour may result in a groom being stopped halfway through and you called to collect your dog.
No liability will be accepted by Bark and Whiskers Pet Grooming in injury caused by difficult or aggressive behaviour of your pet.
We cannot be held liable for any irritation or infection that may occur after hand stripping.
Hand stripping will only be available for dogs that have the correct coat, condition and temperament for this type of grooming. Please note that some neutered dogs may not be suitable for hand stripping.
Dogs that are hand stripped will be offered a bath at a price reduction of up to 50% if booked in between 1 to 3 weeks after the hand stripping has taken place.
We cannot be held liable for any health problems that may be uncovered or aggravated by any part of the grooming process. We will notify you if we find anything during the grooming process.
Matted dogs will incur additional costs. This is because it takes us longer to groom, additional products are used, it requires expertise so as not to cause injury to your pet and it also damages our equipment.
We will not be held liable for any injuries that may occur when clipping off a matted coat. While clipping a matted coat, we are having to use very short blades to get between the matted coat and the skin. Any irritation, nicks, cuts or burns will be avoided as best we can but may still occur.
Dogs with fleas will incur additional cost due to; Flea bathing where your dogs are having to sit in the flea killing shampoo for some time to kill the fleas, we must fumigate our salon to prevent the fleas from settling or spreading and the extra cost of flea killing products.
We do not express anal glands.
We do not pluck ears.
Please make sure all dogs are well exercised and given plenty of opportunity to go to the toilet before coming into the salon for their appointment. Additional fees may be incurred for defecating or urinating where this has not happened.
Bark & Whiskers Pet Grooming require a £20 deposit per pet when booking. Please note that our deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable UNLESS we are notified at least 48 hours before your appointment time and date.
Deposits can be made in person or paid by link through text or email and can be rolled over from one appointment to the next.
Clients that ‘no show’ or miss their appointments without prior notice will be charged the FULL price of their groom – EXCLUDING any discount offered.
Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late for their appointment, will be considered a missed appointment and will have to re-book. This will incur a charge of the cost of the groom. If you need an earlier drop off / later collection time due to other commitments, please discuss this with us when booking.
If your pet is collected more than 30 minutes after we have called/texted you, a late pick-up fee of £10 per 15 minutes will apply. This will be payable at the time you collect your pet.
Customers arriving to drop their dogs off early may not be allowed in. We operate on strict drop off times to avoid customers clashing in our drop off area and so we are not disturbed/distracted while we are grooming the dogs before your appointment as dogs can become easily excited from the presence of a new dog making it difficult and dangerous to groom.
We reserve the right to take and use pictures of your pet for social media, advertising and education. If you do not wish pictures of your pet to be used for these purposes, you must notify us at the time of your appointment.
Our V.I.P Club members will lose their discount for that appointment if it is cancelled, missed or rescheduled to a date outside of the 2 – 8-week schedule.
Our V.I.P Club members will be able to reschedule up to 3 appointments per year when block booking, without losing the discount.
Our V.I.P Club members will receive full 5, 10, 15, or 20 % discounts only when block booking for the whole year. You will still receive a discount for booking every 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks but it will be at a lower percentage.
Bark & Whiskers Pet Grooming will sometimes charge extra for the following reasons (not limited to these reasons) – overweight/difficult/aggressive behaviour, matting, excessive dirt/mud, excessive toileting, fleas and knot removal.
